Oshoke Ikpekha - PhD Student

Oshoke Ikpekha dcu

Oshoke (Wil) graduated from Dublin City University in 2011 with an first class honours MSc degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering along with his B.Eng. degree in Biomedical Engineering (2010). His Master's Thesis was entitled "Gas phase deposition of deep polymeric micro cavities" and his Final Year thesis was entitled "Development and thermal control of DNA amplification unit in a microfluidic device".

Oshoke has previously carried out top research as a Hamilton scholar and a research student in the Biomedical Diagnostic Institute (BDI) and the National Centre for Plasma Science and Technology (NCPST) respectively. He was involved in the computer aided design, manufacturing (including laser cutting and micromachining techniques) and testing of microfluidic devices and also the characterization of material surfaces modified via Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapour Deposition (PECVD). He is currently involved in the research of condition monitoring for marine devices in the energy and design laboratory in DCU.
